It’s really simply. We want to save you money.
Over the last few years the people of the UK have fallen on hard times financially. With sky-high energy bills, astronomical food prices, difficult housing markets and ridiculous transport costs, there’s more and more need to find ways to stretch our budgets.
Our goal is to explore, identify and highlight ways we can make the most of our money. Whether that’s with big-brained budgeting, super-sensible spending, clever cost-cutting or lovely, little loopholes, we’ll try and shine some light on the tips that your wallet will appreciate.
Why do we do it?
Because we have experience, knowledge and ideas, and we love to write about them. While we’d love to sit here and say it’s all selfless, we wouldn’t do it unless we enjoyed it, and the fact it can genuinely help people just makes it all the sweeter.
We don’t make money from Poundly, and while we won’t sit back and claim we never will, this is not-for-profit.
What makes us experts?
Experts? How flattering!
In all seriousness, we don’t want to claim that we’re financial gurus with PHDs in economics and money-saving columns in The Times, but we’re not going to peddle advice we don’t believe to be true. If we use a source, it’s because we have a reason to trust it. If we’ve tried something ourselves, we’ll let you know about OUR experiences. If we run a test and tell you the results, we’ll show our working.
